The Quran represents the fountainhead of Divine guidance for every Muslim

Fourteen hundred years ago, when the last Prophet was sent to mankind, an inspired book was also revealed to him. Which is a complete and comprehensive book, in which there is an informed guide for every subject, and every field of life.

The Quran represents the fountainhead of Divine guidance for every Muslim. Its revelation to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his practical implementation of the revelation, completed God’s blessing for humanity, in providing us with a belief and value system that is valid for all times.

While the Qur’an describes all the other topics of life, the Qur’an also emphasizes getting an education. The significance of education can be evaluated with the primary Quranic ayah, the principal disclosure that was shipped off Prophet SAW was about education and information, in the first disclosure Allah SWT says,

“Read. Read in the name of thy Lord who created; [He] created the human being from a blood clot. Read in the name of thy Lord who taught by the pen: [He] taught the human being what he did not know” (Quran, 96: 1-5).

And in Surah Al Bakara Almighty Allah says, “And Allah taught Adam all the names…” (Quran, 2:31)

The word أسماء(Arabic) referenced in the above Surah guides our consideration toward every one of the parts of education whether it is science craftsmanship or reasoning. Every one of the fields of information is essentially the nouns, the names as referenced before The ASMA in Arabic.

In another place Quran says. “Are those who have knowledge equal to those who do not have knowledge?!”(Quran, 39:9)

Curiously there has been a line drawn by few between religious information and worldly information, yet when we attempt to contemplate on this we don’t find anything in that frame of mind in religious scriptures writings or even in the illumination of Ahadees and the episodes that occurred in the existence of Muhammad SAW.

Take, for instance, The renowned conflict of Badr, non-Muslims were not asked to teach Muslim kids religious and non-religious information. Prophet SAW requested detainees of battle to teach them how to read and write. So how we can express that there is a line between religious lessons and worldly teachings?

The existence of Muhammad SAW is commendable as far as we’re concerned, He (PBUH) was himself the embodiment of flawlessness in all social statuses. To refer to scientific schooling and information we can add here a couple of more Quranic references.

The Quran has specifically talked about science, “In the creation of the heavens and the earth the alternation of the night and the day, in the ships that sail in the sea with their load…. in the rain which Allah sends down from the sky and thus revives the earth after its death; and then He spread in all kinds of animals; in the changing of the winds: in the clouds which have been left suspending between the heaven and the earth -in all these are clear signs for the people who understand” (Quran, 2:164)

It is narrated by Zirr bin Hubaish, “I went to Safwan bin Assal Al Muradi and he said: What brought you here? I said: ‘’I am seeking knowledge. He said: I heard the messenger of Allah say: There is no one who goes out of his house in order to seek knowledge, but the angels lower their wings in approval of his action” (Ibn e Majah, 226)

Wr strongly believe that there is no requirement for additional words assuming we cut out the long story short that these Ahadees and maxims of Prophet SAW and the Quranic references are extraordinary evident of how significant of education is in Islam and that it is so fundamental to consider information seeking necessary. Learning and assembling information is one of the most outstanding things among others in one’s life. The most awesome aspect of life which is spent on learning is awesome of all. It will doubtlessly save us on the planet and in the existence hereafter from hellfire.
